In this pivotal role, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing a broad range of programs, including Club Sports, Intramurals, Recreation, Fitness, and Instructional Programming, as well as Facility Management.

As the Assistant Athletic Director for Campus Athletics, you will be responsible for the strategic supervision and development of personnel, as well as administrative planning, implementation, and financial oversight. Your innovative vision and expertise will be instrumental in evaluating and enhancing people, programs, equipment, and facilities to actively promote departmental priorities that support the overall mission and vision of Campus Athletics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee Campus Athletics programs, including sport clubs, intramurals, recreation, fitness, and instructional activities, ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations and efficient operations of facilities and equipment.
• Oversee and mentor all staff within Campus Athletics, including exempt and nonexempt employees, Graduate Assistants, and volunteers, conducting performance appraisals, program reviews, and hiring decisions.
• Foster diversity and inclusion while managing the recruitment, development, and evaluation of Taylor Gym staff to ensure effective operations and service delivery.
• Oversee financial management, budget preparation, and resource allocation to align with departmental priorities, including developing revenue generation strategies and providing monthly performance reports.
• Manage facility operations, staffing, equipment safety, and risk management, while making daily decisions to support program goals and improve efficiency.
• Promote the department's mission and values, drive continuous improvement through technology and operational strategies, and evaluate initiatives to enhance programs and staff development.
• Achieve departmental and university objectives, aligning with institutional goals, and enhance visibility through departmental successes.
• Foster growth and development for staff, faculty, students, and student-athletes, promoting recognition and a culture of accountability and achievement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s degree preferred
• One to three years related experience
• NSCA or ACSM certification preferred
• CPR/First Aid preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This position is a Grade: 11 - 40, offering an approximate salary of $81,450-$99,080. The duties of the position do not allow for a remote work option; the employee in this position will be required to work on campus where they can be fully accessible to the Lehigh community.
