| Position Summary: |
The Office of the General Counsel of Yeshiva University is seeking an Associate General Counsel who will provide support to the Office of the General Counsel in connection with representing the legal interests of the University in relation to diverse areas of the law, including contracts, technology, litigation, regulatory, not-for-profit governance, trusts and estates, real estate, and tax-related matters.
This role is suited for a mid-level to experienced attorney who is self-motivated and inspired by our mission.

| Position Responsibilities: |
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other business agreements
- Providing legal advice and guidance on matters involving:
- Intellectual property
- Technology
- Not-for-profit, tax-exempt, and board governance
- Education law
- Real estate
- Employment law
- Analyzing statutes, regulations, and procedures and advising on compliance, academic, and education law matters
- Supervising responses to requests for information and subpoenas and overseeing litigation handled by outside counsel
- Communicating independently with outside counsel and representatives of external agencies
- Overseeing the work of legal interns
- Assisting with donor agreements and trust and estate matters
- Supporting the General Counsel and Associate General Counsels on various matters, including high-level litigation under supervision
- Performing other duties as assigned

| Experience & Education Background: |
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- 10+ years of relevant legal experience
- Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing, authorized to practice law in New York State

- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze case law and provide clear, actionable recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

| Salary Range: |
$175,000 - $200,000 |
