  • Grade 5/6 Starting Salary $97,027 plus superannuation

About the Role

The primary purpose of this role is to review identified claims for eligibility for possible remediation associated with weekly benefits, manage and process relevant actions identified to resolve any inaccuracies, and contribute to building confidence within the scheme.

Duties

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Remediation Advisor you will:

  • Understand and interpret requirements for workers insurance claims across various legislations with a focus on weekly benefits
  • Manage the remediation life-cycle from review through to closure, including calculation of benefits, customer interaction, quality assurance activities and any identified support services.
  • Manage communication on claims of varying complexity, including but not limited to complex physical injury and complex customer behaviours.
  • Manage customer expectations, proactively and make decisions and determinations that enable quality, evidence-based outcomes for claimants, and which are within timeframes and legislated requirements.
  • Communicate with volunteer agencies/ government agencies / employers / workers
  • Maintain accurate record keeping and data management in relation to remediation activities, claim file notes and payment records.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within the Workers Compensation claims industry
  • Sound understanding of Workers Compensation legislation and supporting regulations
  • Understanding of Guidewire Claims System
  • Moderate skills with Excel
