The role:
The Senior Coordinator, Deakin Transformation is part of the university-wide transformation team and is responsible for ensuring a seamless delivery of transformation projects and initiatives by coordinating logistics, supporting the Project Governance Framework and taking a proactive role to support a range of project deliverables across the program lifecycle.
As a Senior Coordinator, you will:
- Support a diverse range of transformation activities, including change projects, organisational design initiatives, and workforce-related programs, ensuring effective coordination and alignment with program objectives.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and tracking project activities to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with program goals. Provide support with scheduling meetings, coordinating tasks, and maintaining project timelines.
- Coordinate the logistical aspects of projects, including organising meetings, workshops, training sessions, and events related to project deliverables.
- Track the progress and completion of project deliverables to ensure they meet established quality standards and timelines, maintaining accurate documentation, progress reports, and action items.
- Collaborate with the Change & Future Workforce team to implement workforce initiatives, providing logistical and operational support.
- Foster integration across all aspects of change initiatives by building strong connections within the networked model and working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve shared outcomes.
- Ensure all project activities adhere to the university's project governance framework, contributing to the development and implementation of governance documents.
- Act as a key liaison between the Deakin Transformation team and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication, responding to inquiries, providing updates, and addressing concerns promptly.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Strong organisational and coordination skills to manage complex projects, track deliverables, and meet deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to anticipate challenges, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Experience in supporting transformation initiatives, including change management, organisational design, or workforce-related programs.
- Experience drafting reports, briefings and other documents
- Working with Children’s Check (Employee) or willing to obtain
