The Senior Officer, Partnerships and Engagement will be instrumental in delivering the Indian Institute of Technology Madras-Deakin University Research Academy by providing high-level administrative support and strategic advice to a variety of university stakeholders. You’ll oversee the implementation of various programs, working closely with the Project Manager and relevant divisions to plan research workshops and events. As a Senior Officer, Partnerships and Engagement, you will:
- Develop and provide the necessary documentation and reporting to support the management and coordination of the program and/or project.
- Prepare and monitor program and/or project schedules, resources, and provide progress and status reports and manage changes as they arise.
- Maintain accurate records of activities managed by the program and/or project team which may include, but is not limited to symposiums, workshops, partner visits, and academic events.
- Build new and productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders or key and influential individuals across the university.
- Communicate with confidence using examples and the most appropriate influencing technique for a given situation to increase understanding and support.
- Seek feedback on improvement opportunities from a diverse range of key stakeholders and implement change through appropriate channels and overcomes obstacles to change.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and specialist knowledge in Higher Education or a Tertiary environment; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Experience in operating in a high-pressure, diverse environment involving face-to-face, online, phone and written issues.
- Experience in administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies and procedures preferably within the higher education sector.
- Experience collaborating with international partners, demonstrating an understanding of diverse working cultures, and adapting effectively to different contexts (Desired).
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in MS Teams, Qualtrics, and Microsoft Forms, or ability and willingness to quickly learn new software programs.
