  • Librarian: 56 hours per fortnight 
 
 
Joondalup Health Campus is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and suitably qualified Clinical Librarian to join our friendly and supportive Library Services team.  
 
 
The role provides library and information services to staff to support their clinical practice, research, education, policy and management responsibilities. 
  • To deliver a high-quality, cost-effective Library and Information service to Joondalup Health Campus (JHC) staff and students. 
  • Manage the library’s resources through the acquisition, cataloguing, maintenance and authentication of print and online journals, databases and books. 
  • Provide services including training and comprehensive literature searching. 
  • Participate in the day-to-day activities of the library, including shelving, photocopying, interlibrary loans, circulation, current awareness, marketing and other duties as required.
 
Principal responsibilities to include (but not limited to):
  • Manages seamless delivery of quality information resources to support evidence-based clinical and corporate practice across Joondalup Health Campus
  • Take responsibility for the efficient daily running of the library
  • Ensure compliance with Copyright legislation and Licence Agreement
  • Ensure that all documentation is accurate and completed in a professional and timely manner. 
 
 
What we are looking for
  • Tertiary qualification in Library and Information Studies
  • Eligibility for professional membership of Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)
  • Previous experience working in a medical library
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in the area of reader education to staff and students
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a small team and independently as required
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft products.
 
Desirable: 
  • Experience in interlibrary loan procedures and reference work in a clinical setting
  • Familiarity with current technology, in particular health databases and online databases
