• Senior Occupational Therapist

P2 Permanent-part time opportunity 0.6 FTE (Monday – Wednesday).

About the role

• You will be providing advanced clinical expertise as part of the Occupational Therapy department at the Joondalup Health Campus in the orthopaedic and surgical wards.
• You will provide evidence-based interventions that align with best practice guidelines to delivering outstanding care to our patients. 
• You will support junior staff members to grow and develop their clinical skills within the orthopaedic and surgical caseloads.
• You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our orthopaedic and surgical services, and drive service development.

Specific Professional Registration and Compliance Requirements

• Current Registration with AHPRA
• WA Driver’s License.

To be successful in this role, you will need to address the following selection criteria:

Essential

• Minimum of two years clinical experience in acute orthopaedic/surgical wards and/or an inpatient acute hospital setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, service providers, external agencies, patients, families, and caregivers.
• Demonstrated ability to apply clinical reasoning, sound judgement and complex decision making at an advanced level of practice, considering broader implications and longer-term impacts of decisions
• Experience providing clinical education and supervision to junior staff members and students.

Desirable

• Completion or progress towards a relevant postgraduate qualification.

Remuneration: Salary commensurate with experience
