The Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis (MSABA) prepares students to work as applied behavior analysts and serve individuals and families with developmental disabilities. These aims are consistent with the mission of Pepperdine University to prepare students for lives of service, purpose, and leadership. The MSBPA Program Administrator plays a critical role in the administration of the program and the program's contributions to the university's mission.


  • Provides student support, as well as academic and clinical advisement to students. Maintains advisement office hours at the WLA Graduate campus.
  • Distributes and maintains practicum paperwork (agency and supervisor applications, evaluations of students by site supervisors, etc.); communicates to practicum instructors the status of students' practicum paperwork and placement; assists students in finding placements and conducts site visits; maintains a database of clinical training sites and assists in the coordination of annual data for both practicum hours conducted and community service projects.
  • Provides administrative support for Program Directors. 
  • Creates course schedules for programs; maintains program calendars; schedules and coordinates logistics for program meetings, steering committees, faculty panels, etc.; provides support for the annual summer immersion programs. 
  • Assists in the preparation of program reports and assists in the coordination of annual data for both practicum hours conducted and community service projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned (assists with GSEP events, e.g., GSEP graduation)
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Training and proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database programs; training in Acrobat and/or other programs specific to the development of forms (paper and web-based), training in web-based applications and in the preparation of web-based content; training in managing Listserv and other forms of electronic communication, e.g., Twitter, electronic surveys and calendars. Work experience that requires attention to detail, excellent organization and communication skills, independent follow-through. Familiarity with or ability to quickly develop competence in web-based applications and in the preparation of web-based content. Competence in database management (e.g., Excel or FileMaker); ability to learn web-based applications and to edit web content.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree; knowledge of information/database management and media. Master's degree in psychology or related field. Experience in a values-based, Christian institution and familiarity with graduate education in psychology as well as the profession of psychology. Experience in database management, editorial skills, web-design, "self-starter" / innovator. Spanish-speaking desired. Experience in the development and maintenance of databases and online information systems and familiarity with web-based applications and design.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
