North Idaho College is seeking a collaborative and tech-savvy Web Specialist to support and enhance the college’s web presence on our beautiful lakeside campus. This role plays a key part in maintaining a complex, content-rich website that connects students, employees, and the community to essential information and services.
In this position, you’ll help develop, troubleshoot, and maintain the college’s content management system, ensuring it remains reliable and easy to use for web contributors across campus. You’ll assist with designing and building new web functionality, updating the design system, improving information architecture and navigation, and conducting regular content reviews to maintain quality and accuracy. You’ll also train and support content contributors, serve on the web governance team, and help ensure the website meets federal accessibility standards. During emergencies, you’ll support crisis communications by keeping web alerts and key messages up to date. Staying current with web trends, tools, best practices and sharing recommendations that strengthen the college’s digital strategy are important parts of the role.
We’re looking for someone with a strong understanding of modern web development practices, UX/UI principles, and accessibility standards. The ideal candidate is a clear communicator with a service-oriented mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. Comfort working with web design and development tools, collaborating across teams, and advocating for user-centered, accessible design are essential, along with flexibility and responsiveness when web support is needed outside of regular hours.
This is a temporary role, funded through June 28th, 2026, renewed based on the needs of the college.

Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree in a related field of study and two years of full-time related experience including basic web construction such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and Bootstrap; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience in UX/UI design required. Administration and architecture experience with web frameworks required.
Starting pay range: $59,293 - $71,152

Work Schedule: Mon 7:30-5:00, Fri 7:30-2:30
This is a Temporary position, funded through the fiscal year, and may be renewed based on the needs of the college.
