About the Role
As the Research Leader Marine Ecosystems, you will lead and manage a marine ecosystems research unit, ensuring high-quality, world-class research outcomes. You'll be responsible for directing operations, managing staff, and providing expert scientific advice to inform policy and regulation. Additionally, you’ll build strong relationships with stakeholders, promote research activities, and secure investment in marine science.
About You
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
- PhD level qualification in a relevant scientific field or equivalent extensive experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship of senior scientific professionals.
- Proven expertise in marine ecosystems research and project management.
- Track record of delivering world-class, peer-reviewed scientific outcomes.
- Strong ability to build stakeholder relationships and secure external funding.
- Expertise in providing evidence-based advice to influence policy and regulation.
