The Opportunity

Based at our Dandenong South site, we are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our operations team. This hands-on role is critical to supporting the safe and efficient movement of medical waste across the site and broader transport network.

In this role, you will coordinate daily transport and logistics activities, liaise closely with drivers, subcontractors, and internal teams, and support load and unload operations to ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with HS&E and regulatory requirements. You will also provide operational and administrative support to the site team, assist with incident reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety and operational performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate and schedule transport operations and fleet maintenance to ensure efficient service delivery.
•  Liaise with drivers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with operational requirements
• Support incident reporting, investigation, and environmental compliance processes in line with HS&E standards.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and operational performance.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the Operations Supervisor and the wider site team.

About you

You will have a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, and pride yourself on delivering value to customers. Operating in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, you will bring the following skills to the position:

• A strong safety-first mindset and commitment to environmental compliance.
• Demonstrated experience in an operations, waste, or logistics environments.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple moving parts.
• Solid communication skills and confidence engaging with frontline operators and contractors.
• Familiarity with JDE or other ERP/transport systems is highly regarded.

Due to the nature of this work, evidence of currency of vaccination or the willingness to receive defined vaccinations is essential. Tetanus and Hepatitis A & B.
