The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Customer Service Officer to join our busy and supportive team, handling inbound calls from council residents regarding hard waste enquiries. This is a high-volume phone-based role, supporting multiple councils across metropolitan Melbourne, and is a great foot-in-the-door opportunity for someone with call centre or retail customer service experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing friendly, professional customer service primarily via phone
- Handling a high volume of inbound calls from council residents
- Responding to hard waste enquiries and providing clear, accurate information
- Managing customer requests, including escalations and disputes, with appropriate follow-up
- Completing accurate data entry and keeping customer records up to date
About You
You enjoy helping people and delivering friendly customer service. You’re comfortable speaking on the phone, happy to learn new systems, and enjoy being part of a fun, supportive team. You’re organised, reliable, and keen to build your skills, making this a great opportunity to gain experience and grow your confidence in a customer service role.
