  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $149,739 pa to $173,174 pa + super

Our Corporate Affairs division is seeking a Manager - Brand, Content & Design to lead an integrated brand and content approach that builds trust, strengthens engagement and enhances the department’s reputation across NSW.

In this role, you’ll lead and manage a small, multidisciplinary team of communications professionals, including brand, editorial, graphic design and video content specialists. You’ll set clear direction, manage priorities and support your team to deliver high‑quality written, visual and video content that aligns with organisational priorities, government standards and audience expectations. Your leadership will shape how the department is seen across campaigns, digital channels and accessible design, making a tangible impact across diverse communities.

You’ll provide strategic advice on brand positioning and editorial governance. You’ll oversee brand and content reviews and refine approaches based on stakeholder and audience insights. By setting and maintaining graphic design and editorial standards and managing the review and quality assurance of written content, video products and custom design projects, you’ll ensure communications are clear, consistent and audience‑focused, comply with government style guides, and reflect the department’s values and vision.

About You
You’re a strategic communications leader with strong people‑management skills and a commitment to quality and consistency. You take accountability for advice, content and creative outputs, operate with autonomy and sound judgement, and enjoy mentoring and developing staff to perform at their best. You foster a collaborative, high‑performing team culture and deliver results across multiple channels, including video.

Essential Requirements 

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, brand, design, editorial or related field or relevant work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of NSW Government accessibility requirements.
