The University of Dayton's Research Institute (UDRI) Controller's office is seeking qualified candidates to apply for our Timekeeping Admin opening! This is a full time benefit eligible position that offers health, dental and vision insurance, retirement, disability, tuition assistance for you and your dependents, vacation/sick accrual and holiday pay.
The Timekeeping Admin ensures timesheet compliance by completing all timesheet processes associated with biweekly payroll processing for UDRI. This includes auditing timesheets, running timesheet control reports to identify any issues, contacting users to resolve compliance issues, and answering questions related to timesheets and labor. This position performs all timesheet duties associated with processing biweekly timesheet corrections, including reviewing and processing corrections, preparing and reviewing reconciliations and making necessary entries based on the reconciliation findings as well as supports timesheet and payroll audits.The Timekeeping Admin performs account reconciliation, and other accounting duties for the University of Dayton Research Institute. This position will be the backup for the TimeKeeping and Staff Accountant.
1. B.S. degree and minimum of three years of relevant work experience.2. Understanding of and ability to apply accounting or financial management skills and concepts 3. Knowledge of and experience with complex accounting and/or Human Resource management systems 4. Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, and intermediate level experience with Microsoft Excel. 5. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail.6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well with others in a diverse organization. 7. Strong proven analytical, problem solving & organizational skills.8. Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen.
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
1. Experience with payroll processing2. Knowledge of DCAA timekeeping regulations 3. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles4. Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Ellucian Banner ERPs 5. Experience with defense contracting and/or sponsored research financial management.
