About the Role

We’re seeking a highly capable and commercially minded Chief Operating Officer to establish, scale and lead the operational platform of BMD Investments Limited, a newly created private capital business focused on land and property development.

Based in Brisbane (Manly), this foundation executive role is critical to building the systems, governance and operating frameworks that underpin capital raising, fund creation and investment execution. You’ll design and implement the end‑to‑end operating environment required to support multiple investment vehicles while ensuring operational excellence, compliance and investor confidence.

As a key member of the executive leadership team, you’ll work in close partnership with the CFO and Chief Investment Officer to align operational capability with investment strategy and growth ambitions. This is a hands‑on role suited to a leader who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and enjoys building scalable platforms from the ground up.

You’ll apply your expertise to:

• Establish the full operational architecture for a multi‑vehicle property investment business
• Design and implement governance, risk and compliance frameworks across all vehicles
• Oversee operational aspects of capital raising, investor onboarding and documentation
• Lead the establishment and ongoing management of trusts, funds, SPVs and joint ventures
• Build scalable systems covering reporting, CRM, compliance and investor experience
• Support the transition of capital‑ready vehicles into development and delivery execution
• Engage and manage key external partners including legal, tax, trustees and administrators

This role is central to ensuring BMD Investments operates with institutional‑grade discipline while retaining the agility required to grow a high‑performing private capital platform.

The successful candidate will be a self‑starter with:

• 10+ years’ senior experience across investment, funds, property or capital markets operations
• Proven capability establishing and scaling operational systems and governance frameworks
• Strong understanding of capital raising, investor relations and regulatory requirements
• Experience operating in growth, startup or entrepreneurial investment environments
• A disciplined, hands‑on leadership style with strong commercial judgement
