Who we’re looking for: 

We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our Payroll & Human Resources team, based in our Port of Brisbane office. In this role, you will use your excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with people at all levels across the BMD Group nationally. You will support the operational requirements of the business, using your attention to detail to deliver the end to end processing of various payrolls, statutory reporting and other HR/payroll systems related projects within BMD.

You may also have the following additional desirable skills: 

• accounting background and/or qualifications
• experience in the civil construction industry 
• experience interpreting and applying enterprise agreements
• experience with payroll systems and HR Software
• a desire to be a team player as well as a team leader in a diverse, high paced payroll / HR environment (with an off-shore payroll team in the Philippines)
• strong skills in Excel and an ability to understand systems and the kind of software that underpins a full 360 degree people solution within a large enterprise.
