About the Project
The Tram to Springvale Alliance (TSA), made up of BMD Constructions, CPB Contractors and Arup, is delivering the Eastern Freeway Upgrades between Tram and Springvale roads. The works include new express lanes, upgraded noise walls, and revitalised areas of the Koonung Creek Linear Park.

The project is being delivered under an Alliance Contract with Major Roads Projects Victoria (MRPV), forming a single, collaborative team.

As part of the North East Link Program (NELP), the upgrade will improve safety and efficiency for over 135,000 daily vehicles, remove 15,000 trucks from local roads, and reduce traffic across the Yarra River by 50,000 vehicles per day.

We’re completing the link together and bringing it home for our community.

The Role

We’re currently seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join BMD on the Tram to Springvale Alliance team based in Blackburn North project office, on a fulltime permanent basis.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in managing commercial and contractual aspects of the project, ensuring strong cost control, compliance, and effective stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Administration and management of contracts in accordance with project requirements and alliance principles
• Preparation and assessment of progress claims, variations, and cost forecasts
• Supporting procurement activities, including subcontractor engagement and package management
• Assisting with budget control, cost reporting, and financial tracking
• Preparing commercial reports and supporting monthly project reporting cycles
• Working closely with project, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure commercial alignment
• Maintaining accurate project documentation and contract records

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Previous experience as a Contracts Administrator on civil or infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of contract administration, cost control, and subcontract management
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative project environment
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience on alliance projects or major infrastructure projects will be highly regarded
