This is a hybrid position, reporting to the office in either Austin, Marble Falls or Buchanan Dam, TX three days a week.
At LCRA, we are seeking a special candidate to complete various budget and financial operations functions for Wholesale Power departments. The ideal candidate is an extremely detailed oriented individual with an inquisitive nature and a customer service mind set. You will work closely with various departments to develop, monitor, and forecast their operating budgets. You will perform routine analysis, reporting, and financial projections. In this role you take ownership and pride of your work ensuring timely and accurate products for your customers. This position requires recommending practices for business improvement initiatives. You will be trusted to:

- Assist, develop, and maintain processes for cost tracking of operational expenses to support wholesale power departments.
- Plan, compile and analyze budgets, develops financial projections and administer related budgetary programs and controls for wholesale power expenses.
- Prepare reporting and validation of actual financial results (monthly, quarterly and fiscal period) to comparable budget data by process/activity on a departmental and rate basis.
- Identify and correct errors in complex mathematical calculations performed by various software tools used.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control of data and documentation.
- Provide outstanding customer service while collaborating with departmental teams and cross functional project teams to ensure strategic alignment with LCRA goals and objectives.

You qualify with:

- Four or more years' experience in energy analytics or relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in business, economics, engineering, mathematics or a relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

You are a great fit with:

- Bachelor's or higher degree in business, economics, engineering, mathematics or relevant field
- Experience in Excel and other analytical tools
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong internal and external relationship skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
