The Opportunity
Based in Malaga WA, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join their friendly team.
As our Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for:
- Maintain all aspects of a vehicle to relevant transport legislation and standards
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance services.
- Action all driver daily vehicle reports (DVR) and file as required.
- Perform fault diagnostics to detect mechanical and electrical faults
- Test drive and/or operate equipment to ensure repair has been completed correctly.
- Ensure all equipment is safe to use and stored correctly
About You
To be successful in the role, you will have the following:
- Experience as a Diesel Mechanic with a focus on training and mentoring
- Certificate III Automotive-Mechanical-Heavy Vehicle Road Transport
- Heavy Rigid license (as a minimum)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engines and related systems
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Willing to take a Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test
