As the cornerstone of our Graduate Program in Bioengineering, you'll orchestrate essential student services including admissions coordination, student record management through Banner systems, and financial support administration. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to graduate students, helping navigate degree requirements while computing vital program statistics. Your role extends to recruiting promising candidates and spearheading diversity initiatives that enrich our academic community.

This position is a Grade: 8 - 37.5 with an approximate salary range of $43,940-$52,740 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Graduate Application Administration
• Administers College Admissions Software
• Processes applications log into data system, create cover sheet for committee
• Submits completed applications to Graduate Admissions Committee
• Prepares Research Associate/Teaching Assistant appointment letters for Bioengineering graduate students.
• Prepares decision letters and notifies applicants of acceptance and rejections
• Submits applicable international student information to the Office of International Students and Scholars and to the English as a Second Language office along with ESL requirements needed by applicant
• Assists graduate students with required documentation, including admissions documents.
• Conducts degree audit communication with the Dean's office and Registrar's office.
• Coordinates correspondence with Graduate, Curriculum, and Advisory Committees.
• Provides updated course descriptions and enrollment information for faculty and graduate students
• Collects nominations for various college level fellowships and completes data entry in College Admissions Software
• Provides payroll information for teaching assistantships and departmental graduate assistantships
• Prepares and processes the graduate student financial support letters and collects tuition award forms (RAs, TAs, DGAs, Fellowships, Rossin Teaching Doctoral Fellowships, University and Presidential Fellowships)
• Provides department support for graduate accreditation process
• Recruits potential domestic doctoral students for the PhD College Recruiting event organizes the department schedule in conjunction with the Graduate Faculty
• Collaborates with the Dean's office marketing department to maintain and update the department's graduate program website
• Prepares and sends registration information including orientation and training session information to all incoming and onboard students and faculty each semester
• Reviews graduate students' registrations each semester to ensure that students are fulfilling degree requirements and completing timelines. Monitors grades and appropriate paperwork while updating and advising students on progress and future course action needed.
• Ensures international students are compliant with university and federal guidelines
• Provides information and reminders for graduation (prepare defense announcements, send notifications to faculty and students, distribute important graduation dates and information, collects theses for final approval, prepare removal of incompletes for faculty, etc.)
• Update content on Bioengineering Department website.
• Communicate Department news in social media (i.e. Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook).
• Compile content, editing, and dissemination of department newsletters
• Monitor/collect department faculty and student research & publication news; regularly communicate updates to RCEAS staff for college and university publication outlets
• Logistical support and planning and development of masters programs and clinical/inter-institutional partnerships
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business
• Three to five related work experience
• Experience may substitute for education in these areas: Higher Education experience, Lehigh Banner experience
• Attention to detail and organized
• Solid analytical and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
