LCRA is looking for a positive and upbeat Recruitment Outreach Specialist to promote, raise awareness, and recruit talent for all opportunities including full-time employment, apprenticeships, internships, and even collegiate scholarships. To balance collaboration and culture with flexibility, we’ve adopted a hybrid work model. Currently, you will spend a minimum of two days in the office with the option to work remotely for three days (locally). This position will include up to 50% travel during peak times to recruitment and informational events. Travel will be mostly in-state day trips, but occasionally overnight and out-of-state. Peak times are August-November and January-April.

You will be trusted to:

- Build and maintain relationships with high schools, vocational/tech schools, universities, student groups, and community organizations to enhance LCRA brand as an employer of choice and to build talent pools.
- Work collaboratively across the company to identify hiring needs and strategize recruitment efforts.
- Coordinate and juggle multiple priorities; this position identifies, plans, runs, and facilitates all campus and community recruitment events such as on-campus recruiting, mock interviewing, information sessions, career fairs, and resume review workshops.
- Deliver new employee orientation once a month.

You qualify with:

- Six or more years of experience in human resources or other relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in human resource management, business administration or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver’s license

You are a great fit with:

- Knowledge of designing, developing and implementing strategic recruiting programs and plans.
- Experience building and cultivating meaningful relationships with high school, colleges, universities, student groups, and community groups.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Skill in using applicant tracking systems.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
