Position Number: S72250

This position is a Grade: 9 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $55,200 - $67,180 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Patrol assigned campus areas on foot, in patrol car, or on bicycle
• Control traffic flow and enforce parking regulations
• Prevent crime and respond to disturbances of peace
• Arrest violators when necessary and conduct investigations
• Ensure security of all campus buildings and residential housing
• Provide emergency response and crisis management
• Build positive relationships with the university community

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• 0-1 years of related work experience
• Valid Driver's License
• ACT 120 Certification required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

• This position works with minors
• This position is responsible for driving University-owned vehicles as a routine function, therefore a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record is required
• This position is considered Essential Services Staff; Essential Services Staff are required to report to campus and remain during inclement weather and other emergency situations; they are defined as those needed to deliver student services and maintain campus facilities, campus safety and security
• The duties of the position do not allow for a remote work option; the employee in this position will be required to work on campus where they can be fully accessible to the Lehigh community
• Officers rotate between 3 work shifts consisting of 4 days a week, 10 hours each shift; day shift is 7 am-5 pm, middle shift is 5 pm-3 am, night shift is 9 pm-7 am

Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position.
