INTRODUCTION

The School of Business at the University of Connecticut invites applications for a position at the rank of Visiting Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor for the academic year 2026-2027. 

The successful candidate will provide instruction at the undergraduate level and will be assigned a teaching load of 21 credits for the academic year.  Teaching responsibilities will be in the areas of taxation and managerial accounting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • For the rank of Visiting Instructor, a CPA, a master’s in accounting or taxation, or a related master’s degree.
  • For the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, an earned Ph.D. by August 22, 2026.  Equivalent foreign degrees are acceptable.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated promise of excellence in teaching.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to teach in multiple accounting areas.
  • Experience teaching courses in taxation.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

This is a full-time, nine-month, end-date position for one academic year. The anticipated start date is August 23, 2026. The successful candidates’ primary academic appointment will be at the University’s Storrs campus, with the possibility of assignment at the University’s regional campuses or online. Salary will be commensurate with rank, qualifications and experience.
