At LCRA, we are seeking a candidate for a Materials Specialist Sr to join our supply chain team! In this role you will perform manual and clerical duties involved in the daily operation of LCRA warehouses, storage areas, and laydown yards. This position performs inventory and materials management tasks, including material handling, shipping/receiving, stock maintenance, disposal and coordination of material movements between warehouses, facilities and project sites. We would need your support in operating material handling equipment. Our ideal candidate would utilize in-depth knowledge of best practices and experience in own discipline to provide and improve services. Takes a new perspective to tackle complex problems. Works independently and receives minimal guidance and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May direct the work of other staff members. You will be trusted to:

- Issue, receive, store and/or transfer materials for jobs; enters data into automated systems and/or manual record keeping systems. Ensures material issues are correct and may perform receipts in complex materials assembly situations.
- Load/unload freight from trucks, unpacks, counts, separates, stocks, and places materials in proper storage locations and routes/delivers materials to prescribed storage locations. Transports goods by pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts or other material handling devices and move materials from storage locations and prepares for shipment.
- With a minimal level of guidance, appropriately prioritizes work to align with departmental goals and business objectives.
- May operate materials handling heavy equipment to ensure successful and safe delivery and receipt of materials.
- Effectively identifies problems, evaluates options, and develops and implements solutions to accomplish business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and successfully coordinates with stakeholders as required.

You qualify with:

- Four or more years of experience in materials handling, inventory, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations or relevant experience
- Driver's license required for incumbents with corresponding driving responsibilities
- Employees in the Fayette Power Project and Ferguson attend and successfully complete Hazmat shipping training

You are a great fit with:

- Knowledge of materials, supplies and equipment for assigned work area.
- Knowledge of high-voltage electrical disciplines and related materials.
- Experience in operation of materials handling equipment used in department (including forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
- Experience in communicating effectively with team members, supervision/management and external organizations including customers and vendors.
