Classification Range $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $16.50 per hour.

Work Schedule

 Monday – Friday: 8AM – 6PM (up to 15 hours/week). Evenings and weekends may be required. 

Job Summary

The Business Career Coach provides career support, programming support, and assists with administrative duties in the CSUF Business Careers office.


Responsibilities:
• Provide feedback to students on resumes and cover letters
• Help market and promote events and services through classroom presentations, information tables, and social media
• Support Business Careers workshops and events by assisting with planning, presenting, and marketing events to students.
• Deliver exceptional customer service through supporting administrative responsibilities, including checking in students for appointments, addressing questions, and providing basic resources.
• Provide administrative support to Business Careers staff through maintenance of files and records, general communication, inputting survey data, and other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Required Qualifications

  •         Current graduate student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student who has at least 12 months remaining in their study program.

    •      Ability to develop and maintain relationships with students

    •      Excellent oral and written communication skills

    •      Ability to multi-task

    •      Familiarity of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Publisher) and Zoom.

    •      Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.

    •      In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).

    •     Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.

Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act Notification:
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at: https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. This report contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for California State University, Fullerton for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the CSUF Police Department.

 

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR)
In addition, pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the AFSR is also available at https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus. A paper copy of the AFSR is available upon request by contacting the Housing Office located at The Housing & Residential Engagement Main Office.
