Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a CSUF graduate student to gain entry level professional experience with Business Career Services. The Business Career Specialist (Student Assistant) provides career support, programming support, and assists staff with administrative duties in the CSUF Business Career office. Duties include: - Assist in the process of planning, marketing, and executing career- and employer-related events for the specific purpose of graduate business student professional development. - Support the creation and scheduling of online communications (email, web, and social media) and help during in-person student engagement opportunities (tabling, panels, orientations). - assist staff with Administrative support of Business Career Services and Graduate Career Services through maintenance of employer and graduate student files, general communication, correspondence, survey results, data collection and analysis, and employment updates, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Required Qualifications
Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
