The Center for Internships & Community Engagement (CICE) creates linkages between higher education, community organizations and professional offices and strives to create high quality community-based experiences that are beneficial to all involved. CICE is committed to pursuing the university's mission to create "experiences in and out of the classroom, so that students develop the habit of intellectual inquiry, prepare for challenging professions, strengthen relationships to their communities and contribute productively to society."
The Titans Program provides after-school programming for over 700 children, grades 1st through 12th. The Program staff provides developmentally appropriate programs that focus on the process of learning while also helping students enjoy many other enriching experiences. We encourage not just learning, but also the love of learning.
Under direct supervision, a Titans Tutor will:
Tutor in reading, science, and math.
Work with students from grades 1‐12.
Assist with homework assignments.
Conduct small group tutoring sessions.
Track tutoring sessions and outlining student progress.
Develop tutoring skills.
Help to develop, collect and make available materials to improve tutoring/teaching sessions.
Attend training sessions.
Maintain a healthy and safe environment.
Other duties as reasonably assigned
