Suncorp New Zealand is seeking a Business and Rural Product Specialist to support the ongoing development, management, and improvement of our Business and Rural Insurance products. In this role, you will contribute to product enhancements, ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements, and help maintain products that are competitive, clear, and aligned with customer and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and ongoing improvement of Business and Rural insurance products.
- Help ensure products meet regulatory, compliance, and internal governance requirements.
- Maintain and update key product documentation and materials used across the business.
- Contribute to system and process improvements that enhance product delivery and efficiency.
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to help identify opportunities and risks.
- Provide product support and insights to teams across the business.
- Assist with executing product strategies and contributing to continuous improvement activities.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in NZ and/or global insurance or financial services markets, ideally within Personal or Commercial Insurance.
- Experience in product development or product management within general insurance is desirable.
- Demonstrable product management skills and strong project management capability.
- Experience with digital strategy and implementation.
- Strong customer focus, commercial mindset, and ability to balance business and customer needs.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and conflict-resolution skills.
- A tertiary qualification in business or finance is desirable.
- An insurance-related qualification is also desirable.
