We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Auckland-based team and play a key role in shaping meaningful change across our business. This is an opportunity to work on complex, customer-focused initiatives while mentoring others and influencing outcomes that truly matter.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, delivery teams and subject matter experts to elicit, analyse and define business requirements
- Document current and future state processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimisation
- Develop clear, detailed user stories and business documentation to support delivery across Tribes, Squads and Projects
- Analyse solution options and provide well-considered recommendations that balance customer, business, risk and financial outcomes
- Act as a trusted liaison between business and delivery teams, ensuring shared understanding of requirements, risks and expectations
- Communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely to a wide range of stakeholders
- Proactively identify, raise and support the mitigation of risks and issues
- Participate in agile delivery rhythms including stand-ups, planning sessions, showcases and Scrum of Scrums
- Coach and mentor Associate Business Analysts, Business Analysts and Graduate program participants
- Lead analysis planning and contribute to the ongoing development of the Analysis Chapter and its ways of working
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior business analysis or delivery-focused role, ideally within financial services or general insurance
- Experience working on commercial, pricing, product and/or complex technical initiatives
- Strong capability across Agile, Lean and Waterfall delivery methodologies
- Advanced business analysis skills using recognised frameworks (e.g. BABOK, Agile, Lean Six Sigma)
- Proven ability to analyse complex problems and translate insights into clear outcomes
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience facilitating workshops and working with geographically dispersed teams
- High attention to detail with the ability to produce clear, high-quality documentation
- Confidence using tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- A flexible, resilient and collaborative mindset, with a passion for supporting others
