Are you passionate about leveraging marketing automation to create meaningful customer experiences? Do you thrive in a fast‑paced environment where innovation, connected journeys and optimisation are key? We’re looking for a 1:1 Campaign Automation Lead to join our Brand & CX team.

In this role, you’ll lead and uplift the capability of our 1:1 campaign automation function—building, optimising, and executing automated event- and trigger-based customer marketing programs that drive retention, enhance customer lifetime value and strengthen our digital marketing ecosystem.

About the Role

As the 1:1 Campaign Automation Lead, you will:

  • Lead the build, optimisation and execution of automated customer journeys across eDM, SMS and Push channels.
  • Provide technical expertise, guidance and education to 1:1 campaign automation specialists.
  • Collaborate closely with the 1:1 Lifecycle team to design, automate and evolve lifecycle-based personalised communication programs.
  • Work with our Digital & Customer Marketing teams to enhance connected journeys and deepen data maturity.
  • Support Brand Marketing teams to deliver effective 1:1 customer marketing initiatives.
  • Drive measurable improvements in retention, customer lifetime value and overall campaign performance.
  • Identify and integrate new data sources, execute test-and-learn initiatives, and champion continuous optimisation.
  • Contribute to strategic roadmap development, including platform migration activities and new capability development.

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary degree in IT, Business, or Marketing (mandatory).
  • Certifications in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Oracle Responsys, or Adobe Campaign (desirable).
  • 6+ years’ experience in direct or customer marketing, either client or agency side.
  • Proven capability in delivering 1:1 automated marketing campaigns (eDM, SMS, Push).

Technical & Specialist Skills:

  • Hands-on expertise with marketing automation platforms (Adobe, Salesforce, Oracle).
  • Strong HTML skills and familiarity with modular email templates.
  • Experience with JavaScript or personalisation languages (e.g., AMPscript, RPL).
  • SQL proficiency for segmentation, optimisation and data manipulation.
  • Proven experience designing and deploying event- and trigger-based automated journeys.
  • Strong understanding of analytics, data, and marketing automation technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate technical concepts in a clear, engaging way.
  • Excellent planning, attention to detail, problem solving and QA skills.
  • Experience leading or coaching teams or squads to deliver customer-first outcomes.
  • Ability to integrate analytics insights into campaign optimisation and lifecycle strategy.
