Productions include the opportunity to participate in student media and campus events (e.g. Colonial Theater), but also faculty research, narrative and documentary production. These positions will help prepare students for creative and technical careers in digital cinema and television, live event production (for sports and entertainment), and educational media. The Student Videographer may work more some weeks and less other weeks depending on departmental needs. Hours many vary per assignment and may involve evening or weekend hours.

He/she will work with the team’s staff member(s) as designated by the Director of Operations and will assist in daily operations of the team. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this internship is to develop an understanding of how the intercollegiate athletic programs operate. This position gives the student a chance to learn team operations from the ground up, learning all facets and gaining insight of how to successfully operate a program. Students will work daily with coaches, athletes and administrative staff and will develop working relations and learn how to interact on a professional basis within the parameters of the department. This is an ideal position for the student, of any major, who have a desire to work in intercollegiate athletics upon graduation. Students will be able to apply knowledge learned in the classroom, to everyday aspects of the position. Students will be instructed on the sports best practices and will be instructed on how who do the laundry, including a specific instructions regarding sorting, pre-treating stains, proper laundry loads, laundry loops, proper drying process and more. This position may qualify for SET Transcript credits if it meets the applicable requirements.
